story by Sgt. Michael Garza, HHD, 647th RSG
EL PASO, Texas - The 647th Regional Support Group, U.S. Army Reserve, appears to have a silent super hero among its ranks. Nicknamed "Clark Kent," he claimed victory in his first Best Warrior competition in a super human style.
Spc. Jordan Neiman won the 647th Regional Support Group's Best Warrior competition for junior enlisted Soldiers this past January. He was a last minute entry, competing with limited preparation time. His squad leader felt that his skills and abilities would be more than enough to claim the victory over his competition.
Neiman was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and came to the 647th RSG in 2014 focused on excelling his career, becoming a valuable asset to his section and one day becoming a well-respected leader.
Currently, Neiman is on active duty operational support orders, assisting the 647th RSG’s human resources shop, and plans on continuing his education in the pharmacy education program at the University of Texas at El Paso campus with the goal of becoming a pharmacist.
To be successful, Neiman believes everyone must have a sense of balance in their lives. He keeps a physical and metal balance by focusing on his education and making time for physical fitness and weightlifting.
His message to his peers is "we're much stronger than we think we are.”
