Three KC-135 Stratotankers from RAF Mildenhall, England, and approximately 50 support Airmen have temporarily deployed to Naval Station Rota, Spain, to continue supporting French operations in Mali and North Africa.
The U.S. Air Force has supported our French Ally’s operations in the region since 2013, and we will continue to provide the same level of support from Rota.
Aircraft is routinely rotated around the theater in support of operations and exercises, and all changes are done in full coordination with host nations and support partners.
