FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa- Spc. Kristine Kennedy, a native of Lebanon, serves as a human resources specialist for the 213th Personnel Company, 728th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 213th Regional Support Group, Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Kennedy helps ensure Soldier readiness by processing Army promotions, transfers and deployment documents.
“I love my job,” said Kennedy. “I make sure that Soldiers have peace of mind and focus on the mission by ensuring that their documentation and paperwork is correct.”
In her spare time, she volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, an organization which empowers children to reach their highest potential through mentoring.
“I enjoy helping children who have life struggles and difficulties reach their goals and become successful young people,” said Kennedy.
Kennedy believes the skills and experience she gained in the National Guard transfer to her civilian life as a college student and youth mentor.
Kennedy will graduate from Harrisburg Area Community College on May 11, 2017 with an associate degree in Criminal Justice. She will be honored with the Outstanding Graduate Award for achieving the highest grade in the class.
Upon graduation, she plans to apply to the Harrisburg Area Police Academy and begin her career as a police officer.
“I hold the seven Army values close to my heart and I use them everyday in my life,” said Kennedy.
