Lt. Col. Rosalind L. Abdulkhalik assumed command of the 913th Force Support Squadron in a ceremony Dec. 6, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark.
As commander of the 913th FSS, Abdulkhalik is responsible for providing personnel, services, logistics, supply, family support, emergency management, communications and education and training support to a group of approximately 650 Air Force Reserve personnel including Reservists, Air Reserve Technicians, and civilians. Abdulkhalik shared her vision for the future of the squadron with those in attendance.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity, which will provide new challenges for growth. I’m excited to work with you and take (us) to the next level,” she said. “I give you my word; I will always care about you and the mission.”
Before taking command of the 913th FSS, Abdulkhalik was the executive officer for the 934th Airlift Wing at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station, Minn.
Abdulkhalik takes command from Maj. Jonathon Stinson, who served as the FSS commander from March 11, 2013, until July 2015, before leaving to attend Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, Ala.
