The Ohio National Guard welcomed home about 100 Soldiers from Headquarters, 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team during a ceremony July 29 at Gahanna-Lincoln High School. The 37th IBCT, located in Columbus, returned from a nearly yearlong deployment to Kosovo for United Nations peacekeeping operations in support of Operation Joint Guard-Kosovo Force (KFOR). While there, the 37th IBCT provided command and supervisory oversight of Multinational Battle Group-East (MNBG-E), which was tasked with maintaining a safe and secure environment and ensuring freedom of movement for people living within the MNBG-E Area of Responsibility, the sector along Kosovo’s southeastern boundary that it shares with Macedonia and Serbia.
