Four Camp Pendleton employees were recognized for their long-standing commitment to the federal government through military and civilian service during a ceremony, August 8, 2017.
The quarterly ceremony recognized the honorees’ hard work and dedication to serving the Nation.
“You simply can’t spend 30 to 35 years in the service of an organization, in the service of your country, by simply punching the clock,” said Brig. Gen. Kevin Killea, Commanding General, Marine Corps Installations -West, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
Robert C. Fisher, an environmental protection specialist, and Rhonda D. Holman, a housing management assistant, were each awarded for 30 years of federal service.
Kara L. Morin, an administrative/protocol specialist, was awarded for 35 years of service.
“I was a Marine for 22 years” said Morin, “To stay in this long and be with all these people is an honor.”
David Green, a paralegal specialist, was awarded for 45 years of service.
“I’m happy,” said Green. “I never thought I’d stay in this long.”
The four honorees have, combined, devoted over 140 years of military and civilian federal service.
“I am really proud,” said Killea. “Not only to be a part of this organization, but to be in the service with these four great Americans.”
