FORT HUACHUCA, Arizona – The U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence and Fort Huachuca hosted the Canyon Vista Medical Center’s Executive Leadership Team during a visit to the fort Aug. 4. The five member team spent the morning learning about the history of the installation and the import role it has played and continues to play in the defense of the nation.
Jeffrey Jennings, Deputy to the Commanding General, and Col. Whit Wright, Fort Huachuca Garrison Commander, lead the tour which included historical facts, mission overview, museum visits, and a windshield tour.
According to Jennings, these kinds of tours help local leaders gain a better understanding of the strategic mission of Fort Huachuca and goes a long way towards building and improving the installation’s relationship with the local community. “It’s tours like these that help us maintain a rapport with business leaders in the community and builds a foundation for future collaboration,” said Jennings.
Tadd Greenfield, Chief Operating Officer for Canyon Vista Medical Center said, “It was a great tour that really highlighted the history of Fort Huachuca and the uniqueness of the installation. It also gave us an opportunity to engage with the Fort Huachuca leadership in way not previously experienced.”
Canyon Vista Medical Center is a key partner for the installation as it provides the vast majority of the emergency medical services for the Soldiers, Civilians, Contractors, and Family members who live and work at Fort Huachuca.
