The 139th Airlift Wing is proud of all of the Airmen who graduated from Airmen Leadership School (ALS) at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., September 14, 2017. Senior Airman Amanda Nielsen was presented the Distinguished Graduate Award and was also a nominee for the Commandant Leadership Award. She is a member of the 139th Civil Engineering Squadron working in Emergency Management.
We are also proud of Senior Airman Joseph Longo II from 139th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Senior Airman Jessica Howard from 139th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Senior Airman Jordan Blake, Austin Edwards, and Cody Sims, all with the 139th Civil Engineering Squadron. Congratulations to all of our graduates for a job well done!
During the course Airmen spend time within the studies of profession of arms, warfare, leadership, international security and communication. The Community College of the Air Force grants college credits for the completion of the course.
ALS is required to attain the rank of Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
