YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio – The 910th Airlift Wing and the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Flight, both based here, teamed up to host a group of Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania educators for the second annual Educator Awareness Event here, Sept. 27, 2017. The group of more than 30 educators, made up primarily of high school-level guidance counselors and college veteran’s programs specialists, were able to see many of the wing’s mission capabilities up close, visit several work centers across the installation and walk through one of the 910th’s C-130 Hercules tactical cargo aircraft. The purpose of the event was to allow attendees to learn more about Air Force Reserve career opportunities from their local recruiting team and have a fuller understanding of the 910th’s mission and a greater appreciation for Air Force Reserve opportunities available to high school and college students in Northeast Ohio.
