Members of the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra took the time to bring part of their string and wind musical group to the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center, Nov. 7, in recognition of Veterans Day and honor to Veterans for the month of November.
Amy Bigham, developmental assistant, and Dick Goodwin, coordinator of Healing Harmonies, were instrumental in bringing Healing Harmonies to serenade the lunch time Veterans and staff with patriotic music in the canteen.
“We come to the CLC (Community Living Center) often, and we have 10 more scheduled concerts here on the Dorn site in the future,” Bigham said.
Taking time from their schedule to participate in the musical recognition to Veterans were Jennifer Parker-Harley (flute), Mary Lee Kinosian (violin), Tzu-Ying Liao (cell0) and Doug Graham (clarinet).
