DALLAS – Army & Air Force Exchange Service shoppers can enjoy special savings and double rewards points when they shop with their MILITARY STAR® card this Veterans Day weekend.
From Nov. 10 to 11, points earned on MILITARY STAR purchases will increase from 2 to 4 points per dollar. After accumulating 2,000 points, the cardholder will automatically receive a $20 rewards card. Double points do not apply to items placed on the Military Clothing line of credit or purchases at Navy Exchange, Marine Corps Exchange, Coast Guard Exchange and Defense Commissary Agency stores.
On Veterans Day only, MILITARY STAR shoppers will save 15 percent on purchases at Exchange restaurants. A coupon for $10 off any Exchange services or concession purchase of $25 or more when using a MILITARY STAR card will also be included in the Exchange mall and Veterans Day fliers.
Additionally, shoppers using a MILITARY STAR card can receive special financing on popular items. For example, from Nov. 10 through 23, accountholders can enjoy no interest and no payments for 12 months on Apple purchases of $499 or more. From Nov. 3 through 16, accountholders can receive no interest for 36 months on Ashley and/or Serta purchases of $1,499.
“With one of the lowest interest rates of any retail-issued credit card and military-exclusive perks, it’s easy to see why the MILITARY STAR card is the credit product of choice for military families,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, Exchange senior enlisted advisor. “This Veterans Day, your MILITARY STAR card is going to work twice as hard to help you save.”
Benefits of the MILITARY STAR card include:
• Two points per dollar on purchases and a $20 rewards card after 2,000 points earned.
• One of the lowest APRs (11.24 percent) among retail-issued cards no matter the cardholder’s credit score.
• Fair and flexible terms such as no annual, late or over-limit fees.
• 10 percent discount on first day’s purchase, including at the commissary.
• Reduced interest deployment plan with no payments required for eligible customers.
The military community benefits as a significant portion of MILITARY STAR earnings support programs to make life better for service members and families including Army Child Development Centers, Youth Services and fitness centers, Air Force and Marine Corps Outdoor Recreation services, Quality-of-Life programs on Navy bases, overseas school lunches, combat uniforms and other activities critical to force readiness and resiliency.
