Commandos from the 8th Special Operations Kandak apply constant military pressure on ISIS-K in southeast Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, conducting daily operations that restrict ISIS-K maneuver.
The Commandos led offensive operations in the spring and summer that drove ISIS-K away from several district centers enabling families to return to their homes. The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces then placed multiple police and military forces forward to hold the terrain.
