KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Editor’s Note: The Airman Spotlight is a monthly feature that highlights Airmen who are contributing to the 403rd Wing’s mission accomplishment and making a difference in the lives of others.
Senior Airman LaToya Lee is a paralegal with the 403rd Wing Judge Advocate office. In her civilian role she is a U.S. bankruptcy case manager in charge of managing cases filed in federal courts from start to finish and is also a courtroom deputy.
She travels to Keesler from Mobile, Alabama, every unit training assembly and has been with the 403rd Wing for two years.
“I joined the Air Force Reserve to serve my country, and so I can also continue to serve my community,” Lee said.
Since she’s been with the wing she has completed all the training available to her, including her Community College of the Air Force degree, and assisted with a high-profile general court martial. She also assists with wing morale events and takes on additional military orders when needed.
“In addition to her Air Force Reserve and federal court clerk duties, Senior Airman Lee still finds time to volunteer with her church and serve as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America,” said Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Barnby, 403rd Wing command chief.
“The 403rd Wing is like a family,” Lee said. “Everybody is helpful and there for you.”
