NATO Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan

Afghan special operators from the Ministries of Defense and Interior conducted joint Afghan Tactical Air Coordinator training in Herat province, Afghanistan, Jan. 23, 2018. The monthly training increases the ability of the Afghan SOF to direct close air support provided by their A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, and close attack aviation via their MD-530 Cayuse Warrior Scout helicopters.
