The Virgin Islands National Guard conducted a Soldier Readiness Process at the Joint Force Headquarters on Feb. 3.
This is a make-up SRP for any soldiers who may have missed the SRP held in July.
“There are approximately 59 personnel going through the process today,” said Master Sgt. Valery Regisson, the NCOIC for this SRP. “We expect to have a smooth day going through the stations.”
There are 16 stations for soldiers to go through which include record review, training, medical/dental readiness, finance, family/soldier services, education/incentives, chaplin and security clearance.
The J1 staff conducted this SRP along with support from other HR personnel from different commands to include CST and Chaplin. There was also help from Family Support volunteers.
“I must say it looks very well laid out, the stations look very organized,” said Staff Sgt. Akimo Lionel, Recruiting and Retention Battalion. “I’m hoping I move very quickly through the stations.”
This SRP ensures that all soldiers records are updated for the Army’s new personnel and pay system, Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army. IPPS-A will replace all the Army’s current systems such as iPerms and eMILPO.
