Naval Station Guantanamo Bay firefighters are working to contain a fire that began on the Cuban side of the fenceline yesterday morning at approximately 8 a.m., Feb. 21. The fire had been contained yesterday, but resparked due to wind conditions over the base. Emergency personnel are on scene and working to contain the fire. Six neighborhoods have been placed under mandatory evacuation. There is no damage to property or infrastructure and no injuries or deaths at this time.
