FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. - The national commander of the American Legion toured Fort Indiantown Gap, March 19, along with other delegates.
Denise Rohan, the first woman to serve as commander of the 2.2 million-member organization, was accompanied by Pennsylvania American Legion state commander Paul Kennedy.
The group observed the Digital Training Campus, Eastern Army National Guard Aviation Training Site’s new Aviation Maintenance Instruction Building, and the Unit Training Equipment Site.
After seeing the capabilities of Fort Indiantown Gap, the delegation met with Maj. Gen. Tony Carrelli, Pennsylvania’s adjutant general, and Eric Weller, Pennsylvania's deputy adjutant general for veterans affairs, to discuss items of mutual interest, such as veteran's benefits.
