GRAFENWOEHR, Germany (April 5, 2018) -- Nearly 3,700 service members from 13 allied and partner nations will participate in exercise Combined Resolve X at the 7th Army Training Command's Grafenwoehr Training Area in southeastern Germany, April 9-May 12, 2018. Combined Resolve is a U.S. Army Europe exercise designed to give the rotational combat brigades a graded culminating event before they return to the U.S.
The rotational combat brigades participating in this exercise are the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team (2nd ABCT), 1st Infantry Division from Fort Riley, Kansas; and the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade (1st ACB), 1st Air Cavalry Division from Fort Hood, Texas.
While focusing on building readiness for all participants in a joint, multinational environment, this year's exercise will also serve as the assessment exercise for the U.S. Army's future concepts and capabilities. This is the first time the Joint Modernization Command from Fort Bliss, Texas, will conduct the Joint Warfighter Assessment in Europe.
