A. I joined the Vermont National Guard for the benefits and to support the state.

A. I run equipment and fix roads.

A. I am self-employed working as a carpenter.

A. Benefits

A. It benefits the community because the Vermont National Guard is here for the community when needed.

A. When I got to basic training and it was not what I expected.

A. To work with the Senegalese Army to build and repair a firing range.

A. Senegal is an ally with us and it is important to keep our relationship strong with them because we are partners.

A. The memories and knowledge that we were able to help.

A. This mission keeps our State Partnership with Senegal and Vermont strong.

A. This is going to be a great experience for us and the Senegalese Army.

A. There will be a lot of difference with the culture and the way we do things.
