U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Jeffrey C. Bozard, the 5th Air Force vice commander, met with Misawa Air Base, Japan, service members, from flight-line maintainers to soldiers with the U.S. Army’s Joint Tactical Ground Station, May 1 and 2.

During his tour, he listened to Team Misawa service members and their stories while learning what makes their career fields so unique to 5th AF and the Indo-Pacific as a whole.

“The general enjoyed interacting with Team Misawa personnel,” said USAF Capt. Michael Bell, the 35th Fighter Wing commander’s executive officer. “It not only gave Airmen a chance to showcase their enthusiasm for their jobs, but an opportunity to demonstrate their work ethic.”

Bozard expressed his great appreciation for the installation’s commitment and devotion to the mission and made a point to remind the service members of their key part in 5th AF’s mission success.

“I am very impressed with the members of Misawa AB,” said Bozard. “Thank you for continuing to work hard and dedicate yourself to the mission and each other.”
