The 126th Press Camp Headquarters based at Fort Custer in Augusta, Michigan, will participate in Saber Strike, a long-standing U.S. Army Europe-led cooperative training exercise designed to enhance interoperability among NATO allies and regional partners.
Before they can leave Michigan to train with their European counterparts across an area stretching from Germany to Latvia, they’ll need to ensure that they and their equipment are ready.
“Our unit hasn’t participated in an overseas training exercise like this in so long that any prior experience we can share with each other is a huge help to the group as a whole," said Spc. Abigail Graham, the 126th PCH combat documentation and production specialist.
“Although the majority of us have completed our initial job training we don’t all have the experience to go along with it. It’s this kind of information and experience sharing that can help us all grow in our specific areas of expertise beyond that initial training,” said Cpl. Tristin Maximilian.
The members of the 126th PCH aim to streamline how they work with each other so they can build upon this foundation once they arrive in Poland.
By working out any issues with equipment or processes now at Fort Custer, the 126th PCH can work well individually, as a unit and with their allies at Saber Strike 18.
