    3rd Marine Logistics Group

CAMP KINSER, OKINAWA, Japan - Lt. Col. Kenric D. Stevenson relinquished command of Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group to Col. Joon H. Um during a regimental change of command ceremony July 2, 2018 at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. Stevenson assumed command of CLR-35 May 1, 2018.

“It has been amazing to work with all of the Marines and Sailors of CLR-35,” Stevenson said to the audience in attendance. “You all have made me appreciate what it means to be a Marine.”

Stevenson served as the CLR-35 executive officer since July 15, 2017, before assuming command of the regiment.

“I’m thankful for the time that I’ve spent at this unit so far and excited to see how it grows going forward,” Stevenson said. “Col. [Um] is a good man and I wouldn’t want to turn it over to anyone else.”

Um expressed how thankful he was to be appointed commanding officer of the regiment and that the responsibility would not be taken lightly. Brig. Gen. Keith D. Reventlow, commanding general of 3rd MLG, was the guest of honor at the ceremony and addressed both Um and Stevenson. He commended their hard work and wished them well on the next steps in their careers.

“It is my honor to welcome you to this position,” Reventlow said, speaking to Um. “This is the right command for the right person at the right time. I look forward to what the future holds for CLR-35.”
