MOSUL, Iraq - A symbolic ceremony was held to establish the Joint Military Operations Coordination Center at the Ninewa Operations Command, Mosul, Iraq, Jan. 1 as both Iraqi security forces and coalition forces prepare to conduct missions under the new national security forces agreement.
"This effective partnership will continue under the agreement and although the enemy would like to divide us, that will not happen," said Maj. Gen. Hassan Karim, commander, Ninewa Operations Command as he and Brig. Gen. Robert Brown, deputy commanding general, Multi-National Division North signed a symbolic certificate solidifying the security partnership between both forces.
"I am proud to serve with my Iraqi brothers and to support them in their endeavor to secure a brighter future for their country," said Brown.
