Soldiers from 4th Battalion, 23d Infantry, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division and Charger Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division known as Task Force Tomahawk conduct a combined arms rehearsal (CAR) during Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise Courage Ready 18-02 to refine plans, identify and alleviate friction points, and confirm decision points, at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Aug. 5. During the CAR, company commanders, operations officers, and key staff present the battalion level plan to Col. Jay Miseli, the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division commander to ensure it is synchronized with the brigade's plan.
"By conducting a CAR, we are able to see that the participants understand the commanders intent, understand the mission, exercise discipline, and work together to synchronize their plans," said Lt. Col. Michael Eliassen, commander 4th Battalion, 23d Infantry Tomahawks.
