STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.Y. (Sept. 7, 2018) – Tech. Sgt. Federico Prada, a recruiter assigned to the 105th Airlift Wing, hit a career milestone by making his 400th accession into the Wing here Sept. 7, 2018.
Prada, who has 12 years as a recruiter for the unit and 25 years of service, recruited Senior Airman Angelica Midgley into the 105th Base Defense Squadron in a small ceremony.
“I love the job,” Prada said. “I love recruiting for this unit and enlisting our future leaders and our future superstars.”
Midgley started her career as an active-duty Airman before taking a break to raise her child. She joined the Hawaii Air National Guard, via the 154th Security Forces Squadron, when she felt drawn back to service.
With a pending move to New York, she got in contact with Prada to join the 105th. Prada has a 62 percent referral rate, meaning 62 percent of his accessions come from word of mouth.
“I guess someone dropped my name out there,” Prada said. “That’s the benefit of a good network.”
Midgley said she is excited to join the unit and be part of the 105th family.
“I look forward to being part of team again and looking forward to making new friends and getting back in the game,” Midgley said.
