CAMP BUERHING, Kuwait (August 21, 2018) – National Guard Soldiers with the 2nd of the 114th Field Artillery Regiment train on the Human Intelligence Control Cell (HCC) at the ARCENT Readiness Training Center (ARTC) at Camp Buerhing, Kuwait, August 21, 2018.
The HCC offers Soldiers the opportunity to work on their questioning and debriefing skills during key leader engagements.
The HCC uses an immersive virtual training environment with human-like avatars and speech recognition software to assist Soldiers in refining and sustaining their skills in tactical questioning, interrogations, and proper use of an interpreter.
“Communication is vital, particularly in the Army in order to disseminate information from senior leadership to junior Soldiers,” said U.S. Army Kansas National Guardsman Pfc. Matthew Johnson-Kiehl, attached to Charlie Battery, 2nd of the 114th Field Artillery Regiment.
