The university’s Veterans Day recognition included honoring Joint Base Langley-Eustis military members on the field, a military tribute performance by the ODU Marching Monarchs band and a T-38 Talon flyover at the start of the game.
The game commenced with the U.S. Marine Corps’ color guard presentation of the colors and recognition of U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Brian Graves. As the Monarchs battled the North Texas Mean Green football team, local military members were also featured on the jumbotron and hailed for their service.
