DALLAS – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is a true example of family serving family as 85 percent of its work force is connected to the military. On Thanksgiving, the Exchange’s focus will be on family.
While most main stores will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Exchange doors will open at 6 a.m. in the United States the day after Thanksgiving, stores in the Pacific region will open at 7 a.m. (except Andersen AFB in Guam, which will open at 5 a.m.), while European exchanges will welcome shoppers at 8 a.m.
“As part of the military community, we understand how precious time together can be,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, Exchange senior enlisted advisor. “Shoppers can spend time with their loved ones on Thursday and then start shopping early, at their Exchange, on Friday.”
Some service members will still have access to convenience items on Thanksgiving Day as approximately 140 Express locations will be open worldwide. Shoppers can contact their local Exchange or check their Exchange’s Facebook page for information on their local Express.
