    MC2 Patrick Dionne was born in Beverly, Mass., and graduated from Bourne High School in 2012. He enlisted in the United States Navy in Boston on March 26, 2013.

    In January 2014, MC2 Dionne graduated Mass Communication Specialist “A” school in Fort Meade, Md., and then reported to his first assignment at the Naval Public Affairs Support Element (NPASE) Japan out of Yokosuka. During this assignment, he embarked aboard three different forward-deployed ships for routine patrols across the 7th-fleet area of operations including the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42), the guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald DDG 62) and the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). Throughout his tour MC2 Dionne expertly documented an array of high visibility exercises including the Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) 15, Naval Engagement Activity (NEA) Vietnam, Multi-Sail 2015, Talisman Sabre 2015, Valiant Shield 2016 and routine operations throughout the South China Sea.

    In March 2017, MC2 Dionne reported to the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, Calif.. Following his promotion to Petty Officer 2nd Class, he would go on to become the Leading Petty Officer of the command’s growing Public Affairs Department. MC2 Dionne led four Sailors and coordinated with five additional civilian content producers in executing the day-to-day mission of NPS Public Affairs. During this time he assisted in enacting communication strategies delivering messages to key stakeholders and both internal and external audiences. Additionally, MC2 Dionne is currently progressing towards an Associates in Communications from the Monterey Peninsula College.

    MC2 Dionne’s awards include twice receiving the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
