CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan - Service members with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Command Sergeants Major course visited the Okinawa Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, Jan. 30, on Camp Hansen.
The annual event was held to exchange military education and share common challenges senior leaders may face.
“During the SNCOA visit, we were able to improve ourselves as JGSDF senior enlisted leaders while exchanging ideas with the Director and the Deputy Director,” said Warrant Officer Toshio Sanuki, 4th CSMC student leader, with the JGSDF. “One teaching method, to make an environment in a classroom where you can speak in a relaxed way in discussion or group work, was very helpful when we consider problem solving.”
Marine Corps and JGSDF senior enlisted leaders discussed ethics, educating leaders, and JGSDF members taught a class to their Marine counterparts about the JGSDF military education for the first time.
