The 20th Force Support Squadron Smile Campaign team hosted a money and car giveaway Jan. 1 – 31, and the winner of the car was announced on the last day.
The 20th FSS mission is to generate smiles, and one way they accomplish their mission is to give cash prizes and FSS gift cards using a cash-based customer rewards program.
“We’re super excited about giving it to an individual who really needed it,” said Derrick Rhems, 20th FSS marketing and promotions director.
Those who received a “Golden Key” prize card attended the Smile Campaign car giveaway wrap-up party to return their card and be entered to win a new car in a prize drawing.
The odds of winning the car were 1:32, and the winner had to be present to receive the prize.
The runners-up received alternate prizes, such as tickets to Disney, a weekend-stay at Wateree and more.
“This is actually a huge deal because I drive a two-door 2008 Scion, and it’s really difficult with having a three-year-old,” said Stacy Farland, Team Shaw spouse. “It means a lot. I can’t thank everyone enough for this.”
