The Navy- Marine Corps Relief Society kicked off the 2019 Active Duty Fund Drive March 4 at the Ocean Breeze on Camp Foster.
During the kick off, the NMCRS Okinawa Director Elizabeth Moore the Commanding General of Marine Corps Installations Pacific Brig. Gen. Paul Rock Jr. and Executive Officer of Headquarters and Support Bn. Lt. Col. David Donnell spoke to Marines of all ranks about the important role played and opportunities provided by the NMCRS with help from donations by Marines.
“The Active Duty Fund Drive is where we generate most of our operating expenses,” said Moore. “The kick-off event really helps set the tone of the Active Duty Fund Drive with leadership from all across our island coming together and showing support for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.”
The NMCRS helps service members of all branches, retired military and dependents. They are located on Camp Foster at building 5674, open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Camp Hansen at building 2339, open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Their number is 645-7808 from DSN or 098-970-7808 from a cellphone.
