FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. – The installation is scheduled to host host artillery, mortars, and demolitions training during the month of April between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Artillery training will be conducted April 7-11, mortars training will be conducted April 11-14, and demolitions training will be conducted April 12-13.

In addition to the above training, water operations training will be conducted at Marquette Lake April 8-12. Anglers and other visitors of Marquette Lake should be advised that during this time fishing is only permitted from the shoreline. Signs will be posted around the lake as a reminder to the public.

Fort Indiantown Gap announces training that is expected to result in increased noise levels as a courtesy to nearby residents. The training schedule is subject to change based on the military training mission.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania. The installation is the busiest National Guard training center in the nation. It serves as headquarters to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and Pennsylvania National Guard and offers more than 17,000 acres and 140 training areas and facilities for year-round training. The installation balances one of the region’s most ecologically diverse areas with a military mission that annually supports 20,000 Pennsylvania National Guard personnel and more than 120,000 additional personnel from other branches of service, multinational partners and interagency partners at the federal, state and local level.

Fort Indiantown Gap is an active military installation and routinely conducts training, in addition to specifically announced training, on a variety of ranges. Routine training includes, but is not limited to, small arms fire and aviation training - both rotary wing aircraft training at Muir Army Airfield and fixed wing aircraft training on Bollen Range.
