The 625th Operations Center held its change of command ceremony at the Twenty-Fifth Air Force headquarters, March 28.
Maj. Gen. Mary F. O’Brien, Twenty-Fifth Air Force commander, presided over the ceremony where Col. Christopher J. Russell relinquished command to Col. James F. Weaver.
Weaver, a combat-experienced intelligence officer, has served in an array of capacities ranging from the director of intelligence for Joint Special Operations Task Force to a combat advisor at the Baghdad Operations Command in support of operation Iraqi Freedom. He previously participated in joint and combined operations in the Central Command, European Command and Pacific Command areas of responsibility, and has also served as the commander of the 8th Intelligence Squadron and was the director of wing operations at the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing.
The 625th OC is Air Combat Command’s execution arm for providing America’s globally integrated ISR planning and direction; collection, processing and exploitation; analysis and production; and dissemination.
