    7th Army Training Command

GRAFENWOERHR, Germany- Members from the 7th Army Training Command (7th ATC) G3 operations section teamed up to participate in 7th Annual Rugged Terrain Obstacle Run April 6, 2019, here. U.S. Service Members, NATO Forces, civilians and family members participated in the 16-kilometer, 20 obstacle run to strengthen esprit de corps.
“(The Rugged Terrain Obstacle Run) is going to be a challenge and that’s what we’re looking forward to; having fun as a team and doing something together,” said Capt. Alex Eversoll, the G3 current operations officer.
Three members from the 7th ATC G3 operations sections including Capt. Alex Eversoll, his spouse, Jessica Eversoll, Sgt. 1st Class Michael Thompson and Sgt. Vence Salinas ran as a way to build their team cohesion. The obstacles included a muddy low crawl, a wall climb, balance beams, log saw and 16 more events.
The grueling course required teamwork to complete most of the obstacles. Members from the different teams helped each other saw through logs, get their members over the wall, flip tires and overcome the different challenges they had to endure.
“I think it brings everyone together,” said Jessica Eversoll. “It’s a community event and it’s really nice to get outside and be active together.”
The Grafenwoehr Morale, Welfare and Recreation hosted the event with multiple sponsors and volunteers from within the community contributing to the event’s overall success.
“We wanted to support the community and 7th ATC,” said Thompson. “It brings awareness to the things that MWR has to offer for Soldiers and families within the community, and helps raise a few extra funds for MWR.”
