WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. (Dec. 26, 2018) -- Col. Holly Brewer received the banner of the 439th Aerospace Medicine Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony Dec. 16 at the Base Conference Center.
During the ceremony, 439th AMDS Airman and Westover VIPs listened as she spoke about the importance of the core values of the Air Force: integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do.
"You are an amazing team, and I am here to get you past obstacles that are in your way for promotion and the mission," said Brewer.
The colonel's last assignment was the 60th Medical Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron Travis AFB, California, where she was a Nutritional Medicine Consultant since 2016.
Brewer received her Masters of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences at the from San Diego State University in 1992, and later joined the Air Force in 1997.
In 2009, Brewer was recognized as the Air Force Medical Services Biomedical Science Corps Individual Mobilization Augmentee of the Year.
She was recently promoted to Colonel in May.
