    University Career Center in Morocco Opens with Support of USAID

    The Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences of Hassan II University of Casablanca inaugurates Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00, with the technical support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) a satellite Career Center of Hassan II University, thus offering its students a new device to enhance their employability. The inauguration will take place at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences Ain Chock in the presence of Mr. Abderrahim Khalidi, President of the Hassan II University of Casablanca ad interim, Professor Abdellatif Irhzo, Vice-President in charge of Pedagogical Affairs of the University Hassan II, Professor Noureddine Damil, Vice President of Scientific Research at Hassan II University, Professor Mourad Mawhoub, Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences Ain Chock, Mrs Monica Carlson, Deputy Director of USAID Morocco , institutional leaders and other University partners.

    Following the success of Hassan II University's Career Center, located at the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences Ain Chock (El Jadida road), this new antenna room aims to bring Career Centers' services closer to young people. on the different campuses of the University. In this context, a team of guidance counselors specially trained and recruited for this new branch will be at the rendezvous to provide a local service, in a friendly space, with the 9,000 students of this faculty.
    Inspired by international best practices, Career Center's Moroccan model is designed as a forum for exchanges between all players in the labor market: companies, young people, training institutions, recruitment agencies, public intermediation services, associations and federations. business.

    Since its opening in February 2017, Hassan II University's Career Center has welcomed more than 14,000 beneficiaries and delivered more than 300 workshops to enhance student employability.

    To date, more than 190,000 young Moroccans, university students and vocational trainees have benefited from the services of the six pilot Career Centers and the Virtual Career Center, www.careercenter.ma, designed and implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research. Located in three cities of the Kingdom - Casablanca, Tangiers and Marrakech - Career Centers offer personalized services to young people to help them transition from training to employment and improve their employability. These services are provided by a team of career counselors specially trained and recruited for these centers: assessment reports, diagnostic tools to help young people discover their potential, job preparation courses, non-technical skills training (skills).softskills), information on promising sectors and career paths, linking with employers through conferences programs, visits, internships and immersions in the company. Throughout Morocco, Career Centers have already established 277 partnerships with private organizations and companies.
