Fort Knox opened its long-awaited Dunkin' doughnut and coffee shop and affiliated Baskin Robbins ice creamery at the Fort Knox Mini-Mall May 31.
Brenda Bynum, a services business manager with AAFES, said the partnership makes business sense.
“It’s a good location because of the morning traffic we get going through the troop area, and the fact that it’s located in the small food court at the mini mall,” Bynum said. “This offers a viable option to the coffee shop on the other side of post. Now, people coming through this side of the post have a place to get coffee.”
George Hart, who has only ever opened Dunkin’ and Baskin Robbins franchises on military installations, said the partnership offers something for everyone.
“Parents can bring their children for [doughnuts or ice cream], and they can treat themselves to a coffee.”
