Nepali Army Capt. Sudeep Guri is an infantry arms platoon commander and is participating in Khaan Quest 2019 at Five Hills Training Area, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from June 14-28.
Q: What made you to want to become a Nepali Army officer?
A: “I grew up in this environment; My father served as an army officer when I was young. I would see him decorated in his uniform and it influenced me to do what I am doing now. That influence has always been there and has grown since. Luckily, I got the chance to serve in the army as well. I didn’t want to become a soldier to be praised by people, but to live my life and express myself.”
Q: How do feel about participating in Khaan Quest 2019?
A: “Meeting and coming together in Mongolia is a very great opportunity for me and my soldiers. We have the opportunity to gain experience and learn alongside other countries participating.”
