Iraqi, U.S. Soldiers bring supplies to Abu Ghraib schools

BAGHDAD --Iraqi Army Soldiers and Coalition Forces recently teamed up to deliver supplies to schools in the Abu Ghraib district of west Baghdad.

Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division are working closely with their Iraqi Army counterparts from 3rd Battalion, 6th Iraqi Army Division in an effort to bring supplies to the 23 schools in the area.

These Army units conducted a significant school drop Oct. 3 to the Abu Ghraib Elementary School and to neighborhood children near the Al Ban Apartments. The school kits included pens, pencils, notebooks and white boards.
