There is a new man at the helm of 2nd Recruiting Brigade.
Colonel Jason Kerr assumed command from Colonel Mark Olin on Friday July 12.
Kerr, a West Point graduate, has served in numerous positions over his 19 year career including as commander of the Army Recruiting Battalion in Cleveland, Ohio.
In his return to recruiting, Kerr hopes to embrace and enhance the soldiers and civilians of the 2nd Recruiting Brigade as they recruit the best and brightest into America's Army.
Col. Jason Kerr, Commander 2nd Recruiting Brigade
I think the legacy of the second recruiting brigade, if I can contribute to it during my time here, is to be the premiere recruiting brigade in the nation. And what that means is that the best soldiers, the best civilians, serve here in the brigade. That the family members are absolutely taken care of. When you want to think of the best organization that serves its people, connects with the American people, ands does everything the best they possibly can, it's right here in second recruiting brigade.
The second recruiting brigade recruits soldiers in the Southeastern U.S. from Louisiana to North Carolina and Puerto Rico.
