Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA – The 189th Combined Arms Training Brigade unit ministry team received a donation consisting of more than 500,000 single-serve cups from Holy Joes Café, a non-profit organization, on May 16, 2019.
The overall mission of the donation is to help enhance the presence of the unit ministry team’s throughout organizations on the installation.
“We hope the coffee is a welcoming sign, to say please feel comfortable with us your UMT,” said Sgt. 1st Class Andrew Fuccillo, the senior religious affair noncommissioned officer for the 189th. “ We hope that a very small free gift of coffee to a Soldier, tells the Soldier that we love and care about them.”
Fuccillo said he is glad he was able to share the donation with a lot of the UMT on the installation.
“This coffee shipment was put out to all JBLM UMTs including the AirForce,” he said. We were glad that 7th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and 1st Special Forces got more than most. A lot of which is going to be sent out to many more Soldiers deployed and in the field.”
Holy Joe’s is a non-profit organization who donates coffee to service members across the world.
“Our one mission is to support military chaplains with coffee in support of their mission,” said Thomas Jastermsky, founder of Holy Joes. “Coffee is our way of saying thank you for your sacrifices you make on our behalf.”
