Lt. Col. Catherine M. Callender, incoming 81st Aerospace Medicine Squadron commander, received command from Lt. Col. Michael A. Blowers, outgoing 81st AMDS commander, during a change of command ceremony here, June 4.
Col. Beatrice T. Dolihite, 81st Medical Group service commander, presided over the ceremony.
Callendar was previously the commander of the 412th Medical Operations Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base, California.
"I’m confident we’ll continue to excel in all our endeavors, and sustain the highest standards of medical care,” said Callender.
Blowers next assignment will be at at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, where he will be the team lead of the 711th Human Performance Initiative and chief of the Biomedical Services Core.
“It was a privilege being able to work with those within the squadron,” said Blowers. “They made all things possible. It has truly been a pleasure to work with them and I have learned a lot.”
