DALLAS – Shop to win! Fifty military customers will each win a $500 MILITARY STAR® statement credit this back-to-school season, just by doing their normal shopping at their exchange and commissary.

With the Unilever Kick Off to Savings sweepstakes, each winner will receive a $500 MILITARY STAR statement credit – a total of $25,000 – courtesy of Unilever.

From Aug. 1-31, authorized exchange shoppers age 18 and older who use their MILITARY STAR card to make one purchase at any exchange and one purchase at any commissary will be automatically entered in the sweepstakes. Participating organizations include the Army & Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard exchanges; ShopMyExchange.com; myNavyExchange.com; ShopCGX.com; exchange concessionaires; and commissaries.

“To help get the family ready for back-to-school, or whatever your needs are, a $500 MILITARY STAR statement credit goes a long way,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “By making their normal purchases at an exchange and commissary, it’s easy for troops, military families and retirees to win.”

The MILITARY STAR card is an exclusive line of credit for service members and their families to use at exchanges and commissaries – no matter where they serve. Other benefits of the card include:

    • 10% discount on all first-day purchases.
    • Two points per dollar on purchases, and a $20 gift card after every 2,000 points earned.
    • The lowest flat-rate APR (12.49%) among store cards—rate is offered to all cardholders upon account approval.
    • No annual, late or over-limit fees.
    • Reduced-interest deployment plan with no payments required for eligible customers.
