Firefighters with the Directorate of Emergency Services Fire Department, also called the Fort McCoy Fire Department, are shown conducting daily operations July 16, 2019, at Fire Station 2 at Sparta-Fort McCoy Airport at Fort McCoy, Wis.

The station provides fire protection services to the airport, the family housing area, and all other areas of South Post at the installation.

Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.

The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
