The U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command had a motorcycle mentorship ride on July 25, emphasizing the encouragement of safe riding behavior on and off duty.
The eight participants rode up to Hatch, New Mexico, then through the pecan fields on the back roads near Mesilla, New Mexico, as they returned to Fort Bliss, said ride participant Kevin Picklesimer. Picklesimer works in the plans and operations section of Joint Modernization Command.
"After a briefing that focusing on motorcycle safety, we had a great ride through parts of Texas and New Mexico," Picklesimer said. "With comradery and leadership, we were able to have an enjoyable and safe day of riding."
