Students and staff with the 426th Regiment (Field Artillery) Regional Training Institute, also known as the Wisconsin Military Academy, completed artillery training in July at Fort McCoy, Wis.
The 426th is the Wisconsin National Guard’s educational institution. Through the Wisconsin Military Academy, three different field artillery qualification courses trained concurrently at Fort McCoy in July 2019.
These included the Advanced Leader Course for 13B cannon crewmember Soldiers, 13B military occupational specialist reclassification training, and 13F joint fire support specialist training.
Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.
The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
