U.S. Air Forces Africa, along with the Kenyan air force, are hosting an African Partnership Flight at Laikipia Air Base, Kenya this week. Multiple African nations are participating in this five-day event, including participants from Burundi, Tanzania and Uganda.
The APF program is U.S. Air Forces Africa’s premier multi-lateral military-to-military engagement and security assistance program intended to strengthen U.S. strategic partnerships with African countries, share ideas on aviation related topics, and enhance regional cooperation and interoperability.
APF Kenya is focused on personnel recovery principles and practices to include combat search and rescue, wilderness survival and operational and tactical personnel recovery preparation and planning principles.
