People visited displays by Fort McCoy personnel with the Directorate of Emergency Services on Aug. 6, 2019, at Winnebago Park in Tomah, Wis., for the 2019 Monroe County National Night Out.
Hundreds of people participated in the National Night Out event.
Fort McCoy had more than a dozen firefighters and police personnel supporting the annual event along with many pieces of equipment.
Introduced in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out is a nonprofit crime-prevention organization that works in cooperation with thousands of crime-watch groups and law-enforcement agencies throughout the country.
Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.
The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
