NOVO SELO TRAINING AREA, Bulgaria-- U.S. Army Soldiers with the 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, conducted training for personnel recovery August 25, 2019, at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria.
The training covered radio operations, different methods for carrying injured personnel, extracting injured personnel from a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and properly securing someone in an Oregon Spine Splint.
The training was in preparation for a personnel recovery exercise, which will test the Soldiers’ abilities to correctly perform these actions.
